 Job DescriptionEquitable Social Solutions strives to eliminate housing barriers created by equity gaps that lead to housing instability.Our goal is to place individuals and families in permanent, stable housing and provide the needed tools and support to develop self-sufficiency. Once placed, supportive services are a key aspect to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are met.Equitable Social Solutions impacts lives by creating tailored solutions for each person we serve in order to break the cycles of generational poverty and chronic homelessness.Our program models are person-centered, unique to those we serve and sensitive to the diversity of the human experience. 
 QualificationsEffectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to clearly present and explain information to groups. Speak clearly and persuasively to other staff, agencies, employers, property owners/managers, mechanics, hotel/motel operators, and other service providers on behalf of clientsEstablish effective working relationships with other staff, agencies, employers, property owners/managers, mechanics, hotel/motel operators, and other service providersExercise appropriate judgment in answering questions and releasing information; analyze and project consequences of decisions and/or recommendations. Maintain confidentiality of files and recordsAssess client needs and conduct in-depth interviews that are sensitiveHave knowledge of the homeless community and County demographicsImplement and apply regulations to daily dutiesExercise attention to detailOrganize, prioritize, and complete a large volume of work within strict time deadlinesWork with our clients experiencing homelessness to help place in immediate shelter (hotel/motels) and help overcome barriers or issues that affect their ability to obtain and retain housing and move towardself-sufficiencyManage/process referral(s) received from County and Community following the Tier One and Tier Two guidelinesManage and maintain a revolving caseloadAssess clients to determine appropriate levels of service on a case-by-case basisRefer clients to appropriate agencies for specialized services and/or counselingDevelop action and stabilization plans with clientsConsult with other staff, agencies, employers, property owners/managers, mechanics, hotel/motel operators, and other service providersProvide and document individual/group counseling and referral servicesAssist in developing immediate solutions to emergency problems and expediting delivery of needed servicesDetermine approval of supportive services based on certain criteriaUtilize data processing systemsComplete documents and forms, maintain records and files, and schedule appointmentsProvides supportive services and issues additional funds and necessities to clients as neededDocument all expenditures, payments, and service issuances to clientsWork closely with prospective property owners/managers within the community to promote permanent opportunities for homeless individuals and families through outreach and educationOther duties as assigned 
 Additional InformationBachelor's Degree in Human Services field preferred or equivalent skills and experienceIntermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office, Email and Data EntryStrong communication skills both written and verbalDriver's License with good driving recordTravel throughout the County All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
