About the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager and Legal Operations Lead, the paralegal position will be responsible for end-to-end support of the legal department's contractual activity including management of the department's contracts database, intranet, and electronic files; administrative tasks relating to contracts; and providing information to other departments. Additional responsibilities may include assistance with the review and negotiation of revenue-related contracts. This position involves day-to-day assistance and interaction with the legal team for a global organization and requires the ability to work independently, interact well with personnel from various functional and regional areas, apply sound judgment, pay close attention to detail, be responsive to business managers and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. There will be opportunities for training and growth, depending on interest and skills.

Responsibilities:



  • Manage the flow of documents associated with contracts including intake, processing, filing, and entering into department database.
  • Administer and maintain the legal department's contract database, electronic files, and hard copy file room.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to members of the legal team.
  • Assist in the review and negotiation of a variety of legal documents including license assignments, nondisclosure agreements, and evaluation request forms.
  • Manage special projects as needed (i.e., department automation, Intranet site, etc.).
  • Apply leading edge thinking to reach resolution on issues and to help drive the company forward.


Basic Qualifications/Skills:



  • Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent required.
  • 5-10 years' experience as a paralegal in an in-house legal department.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues, particularly in a fast-paced corporate setting; ability to manage many projects with minimal supervision and on a deadline; effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and PowerBi a plus. Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management Tools, Salesforce and Oracle preferred, experience with other databases a plus.


Preferred Qualification/Skills:



  • Experience in Legal Operations preferred.
  • Ability to take the lead on projects (identify issues, propose solutions, pull in applicable players, etc.)
  • Excellent communications (interpersonal, verbal, written), analytic and strategic thinking skills; strong collaboration and teaming skills; attention to detail.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management.
  • A can-do, flexible, and practical attitude when providing advice to clients; willingness to work on a variety of legal and administrative matters; client-focused approach to work.
