ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Conducts the analysis and underwriting of all new Client transactions. Proposes recommended structure and accumulates all data necessary to perform focused analysis.
- Participates within the site visits and is actively involved in discussions with the appropriate Client representative (CFO and/or Client senior management) throughout the underwriting process.
- Assists in coordinating and reviewing third party collateral and field exam reports.
- Ensures an efficient and effective transfer of knowledge from the BDO to the Portfolio Manager.
- Reviews financial statements and all other relevant financial and non-financial data to develop a concise, focused analytical foundation for a credit decision.
- Provides value-added feedback through the use of risk/mitigant analysis.
- Focuses on the liquidity and cash flow as a foundation for the credit's historical and projected performance.
- Practices disciplined use of the technology, tools and procedures (Spreading Software, Risk Rating, Pricing/Return Models, KBBC Excel tools, credit policy guidelines, etc.).
- Constructs unique analysis/tables/illustrations when appropriate to support the underwriting.
- Proactively engages with deal teams to recommend solutions, generate ideas, address arising issues and/ or anticipate challenges.
- Follow market activity and trends including trends inside and outside of asset based lending markets, and deliver actionable advice to the deal team.
- Identify and discuss the material industry risks and the methods used by the Client to successfully compete.
- Proven understanding of the importance of balancing business development and asset quality.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
- Two years of experience within a commercial credit analysis role.
- Foundation of commercial credit knowledge, analytical skills, and financial acumen.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $68,000.00 - $103,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
