The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

Eagle, aJustrite Safety Groupcompany is looking for a Production Supervisor/Steady Midnight for their Wellsburg, WV operations. Production Supervisor will be responsible for all production processes in the Can Value Stream. This position will be a steady midnight position after successful training period on dayshift.

In this role, you will report directly to the Value Stream Manager, setting the stage for your career to soar! This role is your gateway to opportunities for advancement, with the potential to grow within the organization in 3-5 years as you make meaningful contributions to our organizational goals.

What You'll Do at Justrite:

SAFETY



  • Identify Near Misses- Audit the production floor for potential safety issues such as pinch points, trip/slip hazards, sharps, etc. and identify root cause and drive corrective action.
  • Participate in a Daily Safety Gemba with the Value Stream Lead or VSM. Determine Root Cause and Corrective Action for non- conforming findings.
  • Weekly Department Safety Checklist with the VSM
  • Attend the weekly Safety Cans Sail Meeting.
  • Ensure safety procedures and counter measures are sustained.
  • Drive Safety Culture throughout the Value Stream
  • Distribute TOOL BOX TALKS


QUALITY



  • Perform and document FM Audits on Safety Cans.
  • Maintain quality reports.
  • Work with the process engineer and quality manager on quality process improvements.
  • Post and communicate Quality Alerts.


PRODUCTION



  • Verify machines are running correct cycle times.
  • Communicate production changes to the production floor
  • Assign rework as needed


OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Run the Job List
  • Verify/Complete Payroll in Ultipro
  • Enter BOSS transfers
  • Complete Shift Production Reports
  • Print Boss and Pallet labels
  • Order Supplies
  • Collect daily paperwork for VSM
  • Audit the Assist paperwork


LEAN ACTIVITIES



  • Help develop, train, and document 1-point Lessons and sustain improvements
  • Help develop Standard Work for each process with the process engineer
  • Help develop Visual BOM for each process with the process engineer
  • Drive 5S and other 5S Events
  • Inventory Control-Visual Management


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Monitor the floor -Safety, breaks, employees on task, etc.
  • Daily Housekeeping Audits
  • Cross Train to be able to perform basic Value Stream Lead tasks such as start up and shut down, assisting operators make adjustments to produce quality parts, general maintenance knowledge of the machines.
  • Documented discussion/ coaching
  • Other tasks as directed by the VSM.


Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:



  • A.S. in a technical or management field required.


  • 2 years supervisory experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Working Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles to include 5S, SMED, Gemba etc.


Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:



  • Metal fabrication experience preferred.
  • Strong analytic skills including the ability to process workflow Experience working in a team environment preferably with a small to medium size company.
  • Strong coaching and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. MAPICS experience preferred.
  • Ability to walk, sit, bend, twist and navigate all areas of office and plant.


Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
