Job Summary

The Business Development Strategist for GoGuardian develops and executes upon strategic plans to expand and enhance business opportunities within K12. This individual generates new business through various business development activities, including identifying and strategically targeting existing and potential customers. As needed, the Business Development Strategist mentors junior members of the team and serves as an escalation point. The ideal candidate will be a proactive relationship builder with a deep understanding of the CDW K-12 education technology landscape and a passion for helping schools create safer, more effective learning environments.

What you will do

  • Articulates value proposition to partners GoGuardian and customers.
  • Build and manage relationships with our GoGuardian
  • Trains and educates team members on new and existing offerings, tools, and sales skills.
  • Manage workload allocation, priorities, and distribution of duties.
  • Represents the company at external business networking opportunities, conferences and events.
  • Attends customer onsite meetings and business reviews as needed.
  • Develops partner-facing business plans to secure advantageous pricing or appointment to contracts.
  • Drives incremental revenue and profit growth through contract wins and strategic sales initiatives.
  • Participates in annual planning sessions.
  • Establishes metrics to monitor team members' sales efforts and recommends strategies to increase sales.
  • Monitors team performance and productivity. Collaborates with the manager on identifying training opportunities.
  • Develops sales approach and strategies to enable account managers and inside sales reps to sell services.
  • Evaluates processes and make improvements to create efficiencies.
  • Ensures work schedules provide sales support during normal business hours.
  • Collaborate with Channel Account Managers to qualify deal registrations and target high-potential districts.
  • Demonstrate mastery of Salesforce for case tracking, training engagement, and pipeline reporting.

What we expect of you

Minimum basic requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-yr. experience in business development/sales role in technology field - K12 preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to coordinate and orchestrate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills and creative thinking.
  • Demonstrated collaboration behavior with excellent facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects, meet deadlines, facilitate change and delegate responsibility.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Pay range: $60,000-$87,000, depending on experience and skill set

Annual bonus target of 33.34% subject to terms and conditions of plan
