POSITION SUMMARY:

We're looking for a creative, driven Culinary Supervisor to join our culinary team at Winter Park Resort. You'll lead day-to-day kitchen operations, mentor staff, craft unique menus, and help shape unforgettable guest experiences. WAGE:

The base hourly pay/salary range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resort's hourly pay/salary range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resort's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay range: $24-26

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of food.
  • Work the line 95% of the time, cooking, expediting, prepping, and running food, if applicable.
  • Assist your chef with kitchen production, inventory, ordering, and cost control within budget guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with HACCP, culinary guidelines, and food safety standards.
  • Help the Chef supervise and develop kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Conduct shift meetings, line checks, and enforce the use of up-to-date recipe cards.
  • Collaborate with outlet managers from your restaurant and others at the Resort
  • Ensure equipment is functional and staff have proper tools to work efficiently.
  • Assist with month-end tasks, physical inventory, and ensure accurate transfers.
  • Represent the culinary team positively to both culinary and service staff.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including securing the location and equipment.
  • Support special events, marketing efforts, and operational goals as needed
  • Available to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Colorado-approved Alcohol Server Training certificate required (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
  • ServSafe, Food Manager, and AllerTrain certifications required (or completed within 14 days of hire)
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including kitchen procedures, cash handling, and POS systems
  • Proven leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain professional, positive relationships with guests, coworkers, and leadership
  • Working knowledge of local liquor and health codes
  • Familiarity with food and beverage equipment
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and clean driving record (required for vehicle or snowmobile use)
  • Must model and uphold company Service Excellence and safety standards at all times


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must have a degree from a two-year culinary school and three years of experience in a quality establishment or five years related professional experience in a quality establishment


Experience:
  • Minimum two years supervisory experience
