This position requires a flexible individual with experience in rapid, new product development. TSC's IPC team is chartered with developing new products by leveraging technology across TSC. This team is responsible for rapid development, demonstration, and initial product rollout. This position requires an individual familiar with all phases of product development and deployment to include changing requirements, hardware, software, and mechanical integration dependencies, field testing, and configuration management. The individual in this position needs to "corral the cats" with a software architecture that supports multiple products to maximize reuse, minimize development time, and ensure long term maintainability.

  • Design, implement, and maintain real-time, embedded software on ARM and Intel processors running Linux
  • Design and implementation application experience with Software Defined Radios
  • Work across the products to implement a sustainable software architecture and supporting development processes
  • Lead by example to enforce architecture, design, and test methodologies
  • Support all phases of detailed system and subsystem development activities for embedded applications, including upfront analysis, prototyping, end item development and evaluation in laboratory and field test environment
  • Hands-on lab testing of electronics hardware - Experienced with test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) and software debugging tools (GDB)
  • Analysis of measured data from laboratory and/or field testing. Comparison of expected performance or truth data to actual measured performance
  • Work within a multi-discipline team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to build complete solutions and products
  • Work with product owners to define and implement iterative software releases to meet customer deliverables
  • Support corporate efforts to develop common software practices across the company

Required Qualifications:

  • BS Computer Science/Computer Engineering and minimum 4 years of experience in industry
  • Experience with the following areas is required:
    • Iterative development
    • Embedded C/C++ applications
    • Native and Cross-Compilation development environments
    • Linux (Yocto, RedHat, or Ubuntu), Git, JIRA, and Jenkins
    • Working and/or managing software development across multiple physical sites
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and subject matter expertise
  • Possess excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Familiar with virtualization like VMs and Docker
  • Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS DoD Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Wireless communications protocols
  • Experience with field testing in austere locations
  • Familiar with RF signal chains (i.e. mixing, filtering, up/down conversion, etc.)

In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is $111,000 - $145,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and may include equity or incentive compensation as part of the total rewards package
