Summary: Drives operational efficiency and financial sustainability at MGB by analyzing complex, cross-system workflows, leveraging operational and financial data, and identifying inefficiencies to implement strategic improvements across clinical and administrative operations. The ideal candidate brings expertise in Lean methodologies, healthcare operations, engineering principles, and data-driven decision-making to support continuous improvement. Key competencies include workflow optimization, process measurement, data mining, defect mitigation, standardization, innovation, and change leadership-critical for solving complex clinical and operational challenges with unknown solutions
Key functions:
1. Partner with MGB system-wide senior leadership to lead complex, high-priority initiatives, applying top-tier process engineering, improvement, change management, and project management skills. Leverage strong facilitation and interpersonal abilities to drive implementation, ensuring targeted savings and efficiencies across multiple projects simultaneously.
2. Uses critical thinking skills and high emotional IQ to independently manage high-priority, complex, system-wide initiatives that support MGB strategic priorities on a system-level.
3. Translates leadership vision into actionable initiatives with clear scope, goals, and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to set achievable timelines with appropriate interim milestones to mark progress
4. Mines and analyzes complex clinical, operational, patient experience and financial healthcare data sets to evaluate system-wide clinical operations performance and identify improvement opportunities. Synthesizes and benchmarks clinical, operational and patient experience data for trends, gaps, defects, and opportunities.
5. Develops the analytic and measurement strategy for all projects including development of key metrics and the structure of baseline data collection. Displays data in a senior level manner designed to allow for leadership's enhanced knowledge, decision-making, and communication.
6. Works collaboratively with operational and clinical leadership (from executive-level to team leader) to facilitate meeting discussions, engage all relevant stakeholders, and develop useful presentation materials with the goal of achieving buy-in and advancing and achieving the stated milestones and objectives.
7. Develops strong, positive relationships with all levels of staff across MGB; collaborates with these colleagues to leverage their expertise and experiences to identify best practices and advance the work.
8. Utilizes Lean, Six Sigma, process modeling/simulation, and other process improvement methodologies to enhance clinical workflows and other operational efficiencies. Applies best-in-class change management approaches to engage stakeholders and drive process adoption.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required and Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials

Experience

Experience in project management/data analysis preferably in the complex systems. 5-7 years required. Minimum of 3 projects with favorable impact.

1. Excellent leadership skills with a strong ability to influence in a matrix organization; able to foster trust and collaboration within all levels of an organization and throughout a complex variety of departments in multiple disciplines

2. Outstanding judgement and discretion in interacting with operational and clinical leaders on cultural, political, and confidential issues

3. Takes ownership and accountability for timeliness, accuracy, and relationship management

4. Maintains confidence in the face of ambiguity, is able to adjust approach, work effort, and timing within a changing, complex environment

5. Builds reports using tableau, power automate, etc.
