The Opportunity

We're in search of an imaginative and hands-on leader to build the future of marketing technology and data at scale. As Director of Marketing Engineering & Operations, you'll lead all aspects of a high-impact team propelling innovation across data engineering, business intelligence, and AI/GenAI to enable world-class marketing insight datasets and tools across B2B and B2C segments. They will lead a team at the data, tech, marketing, and AI nexus, impacting customer experiences and driving business growth.This role is an opportunity to develop modern data infrastructure, deliver innovative AI-powered solutions, and boost marketing performance with strategic insight, smart automation, and scalable technology.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Manage engineering and BI teams to provide scalable data pipelines, audience segmentation, and advanced analytics.

  • Architect and evolve a robust MarTech ecosystem that fuels full-funnel reporting and campaign optimization.

  • Drive strategy and execution for AI/GenAI-powered tools-both customer-facing and internal.

  • Guide the technical roadmap, from architecture to execution, ensuring performance, security, and innovation.

  • Take charge of the marketing engineering and insights tools strategy for both B2B and B2C business units.

  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and data teams to establish common objectives and important metrics customized for each customer segment.

  • Advocate for a culture that prioritizes data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

  • Collaborate with product, data science, and business collaborators to align engineering roadmaps with organizational goals.

  • Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for data, analytics, and AI/ML platforms.

  • Encourage a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and high-impact delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 15+ years in software/data engineering with proven leadership of high-performing teams.

  • Expertise in cloud-native architectures (Azure, Databricks, Spark, Synapse, Delta Lake).

  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, PySpark, and modern web/backend frameworks (React, REST/gRPC).

  • Deep understanding of AI/GenAI, including ML lifecycle, efficiency agents, and MLflow.

  • Good to have MarTech systems, data visualization tools, and marketing performance insight solutions experience.

  • Outstanding communicator who can bridge technical depth and business impact with ease.

  • Demonstrated skill in developing, coaching, and retaining high-performing engineering and BI professionals.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $179,300 -- $354,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
