Regional Operational Excellence Manager

As the Regional Operational Excellence Manage, you will increase operation excellence across the Americas region to support plant performance in the execution of safety, quality, service, and productivity metrics. The leader will develop and mobilize the strategy for performance management, process excellence, and work teams. Reporting directly to the Director of Operation for Americas, you will lead a team of three direct reports and direct involvement in regional and Lean programs while developing manufacturing site resources for ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Hoshin planning, directly apply Lean principles to strategic plans, and develop process and resources for plant lean plans
  • Set strategy for regional evolution and align people to a vision mobilizing resources in a matrixed organization
  • Develop and oversee site continuous improvement journeys
  • Hands-on involvement in the job to promote engagement through all levels
  • Assure the site adopts and embed the defined best practices as defined within the framework.
  • Measure and monetize the impact of improvements
  • Analyze Strategic Goals to establish potential projects that contribute to tangible results across multiple sites or locations.
  • Support the facilities in culture change, main goals, and engagement through continuous improvement activities
  • Site visits and travel ~ 20%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain or related field a benefit, but not required
  • 10+ years of proven continuous improvement experience, specifically demonstration of hands-on involvement
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment leading Kaizen and Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Knowledge and application of Root Cause Analysis.
  • Determination for action and an ability to create programs to improve, providing examples of tangible results.
