The Midland Division Salvation Army Corps located in Springfield, Missouri, is looking for an individual who would like to apply their experience as a Red Kettle Campaign Supervisor.

This is a temporary seasonal full-time 40 per week, $17.00 per hour. Start on 10/13/2025 and end on 12/24/2025.

Job Objective

This position is expected to advance and support the Mission of The Salvation Army. It exists to further the mission of The Salvation Army by managing the day-to-day operations of the Red Kettle Campaign. This position is responsible for the red kettles during the annual Christmas Fundraising campaign. This position will coordinate with the Resource Coordinator in the scheduling, placement, and monitoring of all (paid or volunteer) Bell Ringers. This position will coordinate the daily delivery, returning, and securing of Red Kettles. This effort will require a close working relationship with other Salvation Army staff and volunteers. Position is expected to comply with and meet The Salvation Army, Federal, State and Local policies, and standards.

Essential Functions



  1. Assist the Resource Coordinator with recruitment, training and scheduling of all bell ringers
  2. Daily monitor and supervise all bell ringers during the Red Kettle Campaign
  3. Work with Resource Coordinator to schedule delivery of kettle equipment to and from kettle sites.
  4. Visit with all location managers, identify yourself and arrange the location of kettle drop off and pick up.
  5. Every day ensure that all kettle locations are being manned. Assist Resource Coordinator with scheduling and notifying all kettle volunteers of their assigned locations and shifts
  6. Check that all bell ringers are clean and presentable.
  7. Conduct periodical site checks throughout the day to ensure that bell ringers are present.
  8. Coordinate the daily delivery, returning and securing of Red Kettles, to include transporting the kettles to and from sites or appoint a volunteer team to do so.
  9. Secure kettles and monies at all times.
  10. Work with Resource Coordinator to appoint team members to transport monies to bank for deposit as needed.
  11. Coordinate with Resource Coordinator to pick up all equipment from Kettle Sites at the end of the campaign.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and Safe From Harm guidelines.
  13. Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors. This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors, and clients; respect of others' property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about clients, co-workers, and supervisors.



Minimum Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent, with one year work experience and some supervisory experience. A combination of training and work experience will be considered. Management skills and the ability to work with volunteer staff are needed. Must clear a TSA background check. Must have an appropriate driver's license and pass TSA MVR check.
