| Job Summary/Overview The Mechanical Engineer serves as a critical link between CMCO's commercial team and its customers, providing technical expertise and tailored solutions for complex Engineered-to-Order (ETO) applications. This role demands strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support both internal and external stakeholders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
    
 Create and modify solid models using SolidWorks.Develop dimensional drawings for components and assemblies, adhering to industry standards.Generate accurate bills of materials for final assemblies.Support existing and new customers with products, applications, and technical issues through phone, meetings, and emails.Review customer requirements and specifications, ask clarifying questions, and provide quotations to satisfy customer needs.Deliver solutions that meet customer requirements and ensure product functionality.Understand and demonstrate basic knowledge of various material characteristics such as aluminum, low carbon steel, stainless steel, and bronze.Stay current with evolving industry standards, manufacturing techniques, and technologies.Calculate horsepower and demonstrate a general knowledge of electric motors, limit switches, and motor controls.Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities 
    
 Strong attention to detail and ability to document and understand application requirements.Understanding of CNC machines, manual lathes, and other machining equipment.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply the concepts of the metric system.
 
    
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.SAP experience preferred.
Required Qualifications 
    
 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a four-year college or university.3-5 years of relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
