SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

Provides SouthState Investor Services with vision, leadership, and management of the department's operations to maximize bank shareholder value while being responsible to the entire corporation's stakeholders; the holding company, the clients, the employees, and the communities the corporation serves.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensures that the day-to-day business affairs within the regional market area for the program are appropriately managed to achieve the goals and objectives set forth in the Strategic, Business and Marketing plans of the company. Supervise and maintain responsibility for assigned SouthState Investment Services registered Investment Consultants. Maintains a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees. Promote to all SouthState Corporation employees the products and services offered by the investment services program. This is accomplished by providing constant coaching, training, and other activities that build rapport, confidence, and trust in our team's ability to meet their expectations. Helps lead the company's semi-annual sales conferences, the semi-annual principals strategic planning retreats, the company's sales team conference calls, and the company's bimonthly sales meetings. Assisting in maintaining a positive and productive relationship with LPL Financial and LPL's Financial Institution Division to promote increased revenue generation by the company's investment team through recruiting, marketing support, client seminars, client workshops, coaching clinics, and call nights.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: 4 Year Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years related experience
  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 securities licenses.
  • (RIA) Registered Investment Advisor
  • Advanced Financial Planning Designation Preferred: CFP or ChFC
  • State Insurance License

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

Required Annual Compliance Training, New Employee Orientation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk. This position requires the ability to drive a personal car for business purposes to and from other locations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is in an office location of the SSB Support Center. This position is located in a private office located in the Wealth Suite. The position is located inside a cooled and heated facility with ability to go to a break room or rest room during breaks.

TRAVEL

Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
