POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking an Information Security Intern for our Summer 2026 Internship Program. The Information Security (Infosec) Intern will assist in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of U.S. Venture by monitoring systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security requests. This intern will also support the implementation of security measures and compliance with industry standards.

U.S. Venture's Internship Program runs May - August. Dates may vary based on individual class schedules. This position is located in Appleton, WI and will start at 1025 West Navitus Dr, Appleton, WI 54913. We are excited to be transitioning to our new corporate headquarters during this internship timeframe and this position will eventually be located at 222 W College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54911. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor work ticket queue
  • Review vulnerability management
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings
  • Project:Preparation for Cyber Security Awareness Month
  • Project: Information Security Awareness Video Competition
  • Perform simple security administration tasks
  • Maintains relevant records and documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current student pursing a bachelor's degree in Information Security, or related field.
  • Junior or Senior status preferred.
  • Works under close direction. Uses little discretion in attending to enquiries. Is expected to seek guidance in unexpected situations.
  • Minimal influence. May work alone or interact with immediate colleagues.
  • Performs routine activities in a structured environment. Requires assistance in resolving unexpected problems. Participates in the generation of new ideas.
  • Has sufficient oral and written communication skills for effective engagement with immediate colleagues.
  • Uses basic systems and tools, applications and processes.
  • Shows aptitude to learn new technologies and systems.
  • Demonstrates an organized approach to work. Has basic digital skills to learn and use applications and tools for their role.
  • Security, privacy, and ethics -understands and complies with organizational standards.
  • Has basic generic knowledge appropriate to area of work. Applies newly acquired knowledge to develop new skills.
