The Role

We are seeking a forward-thinking and strategic leader to join our platform strategy team, serving as the primary business owner for essential commercial platforms. This role is accountable for shaping the long-term vision, operationalizing advanced technologies, including AI, and empowering outcomes throughout the customer lifecycle. The ideal candidate has significant experience working with commercial teams and can effectively align business goals with technology solutions.

This position works closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure that platforms evolve in step with dynamic market requirements and organizational priorities. The core mission is to promote innovation, streamline operations, and optimize platform adoption, delivering tangible value for our business.

The Main Responsibilities

Platform Ownership & Vision

  • Serve as a business owner for key commercial platforms, managing a multi-year strategic roadmap in partnership with the business to incorporate input and addressevolving business needs.
  • Lead the vision and execution of platform migrations and enhancements, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Act as the conduit between Platform Owners, IT, and business stakeholders to translate business needs and strategies into platform capabilities.
  • Lead quarterly planning sessions with business partners and platform owners to collaboratively develop, shape, and review the strategic roadmap, ensuring ongoing communication and transparency in the process.

Operationalization & Enablement

  • Operationalize AI and other advanced technologies within platforms to drive proactive engagement, retention strategies, and lifecycle management.
  • Partner with business, enablement, and implementation teams to ensure platform capabilities are fully leveraged by commercial sales teams and embedded into daily workflows.
  • Collaborate with enablement teams to facilitate capability and feedback sessions that focus on enhancing platform adoption and effectiveness.

Governance & Innovation

  • Collaborate with vendors, platform owners, and internal stakeholder teams to evaluate and implement new platform features that support transformation goals.
  • Conduct quarterly roadmap reviews and customer surveys with stakeholders and the extended team to align platform direction with user feedback and business needs.
  • Contribute to tool rationalization by identifying redundancies, streamlining processes, and supporting initiatives that drive cost savings, all in alignment with broader Modernization and Simplification efforts.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree with over 9 years of professional experience, including more than 3 years in commercial platform operations, platform ownership, or business systems.
  • Strong passion for innovation and strategic thinking, with a results-driven mindset.
  • Effective communicator and capable team leader, able to grasp both detailed aspects and the broader vision.
  • Proven track record in presenting and leading cross-functional meetings.
  • Expertise in commercial platforms and familiarity with related tools such as Salesforce, Seismic, and Gainsight. Successful in driving platform adoption, managing roadmaps, and aligning diverse teams.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to continuous innovation and improvement.
  • Consistently embodies Lumen 8 behaviors, including curiosity, continuous learning, purposeful agility, fostering inclusion and diverse perspectives, and delivering impactful results through teamwork and accountability.
  • Telecom or Technology background, B2B experience, Vendor Management, Master's degree, proficiency in commercial platforms
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Location-Based Pay Ranges

$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
