Job Description

Reporting directly to the Production Manager and working under general supervision, this role ensures operational efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery-all while fostering a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan & Execute: Review production schedules and manage capacity/resource planning to ensure customer requirements are met-leveraging blueprints, sketches, operations sheets, and clear instructions.

  2. Communicate Effectively: Build strong connections with Production, team members, and support personnel through consistent, open communication.

  3. Ensure Accuracy: Verify the correctness of operations sheets and blueprints, ensuring smooth flow of parts to the next operation or department.

  4. Champion Safety: Enforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE), ensure compliance with safety rules, and conduct/assist with accident investigations as needed.

  5. Drive Improvement: Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives, and facilitate productive team meetings.

  6. Problem-Solve: Troubleshoot challenges, develop solutions, and make recommendations that improve productivity and customer satisfaction-always with safety in mind.

  7. Support Audits: Assist with scheduled Quality Assurance audits to ensure adherence to standards.

  8. Develop People: Train, coach, and evaluate team members. Provide feedback, recommend personnel actions, and promote positive employee relations.

  9. Lead Performance: Conduct performance reviews, recommend wage adjustments, and support hiring, promotions, or employment terminations-all while reinforcing company policies and values.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Degree, or equivalent

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a production or manufacturing leadership role.

  • Machine shop and press experience preferred

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to support continuous improvement and meet business targets.

Salary Range: $73,000-$90,000 per year with a 15% 2nd shift differential. Final rate will be determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications
