Project Engineer - OSM

Salary: $98K-$151K DOE
Position Summary
We are seeking a Project Engineer - OSM (Offsite Manufacturing) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of prefabrication scopes on a large-scale construction project near Amarillo, Texas. This role is highly dynamic, balancing coordination and desk-based technical tasks with frequent field walks.
The OSM Project Engineer will work closely with OSM Project Leads, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and design teams to ensure workflow is streamlined, technical requirements are met, and project milestones stay on track.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily coordination between subcontractors, vendors, and the OSM field team to maintain schedule compliance
Monitor subcontractor progress in the field and escalate issues as needed to OSM Construction Managers or Superintendents
Review, track, and distribute RFIs, submittals, and change documents
Interpret 3D and 2D design documents, specifications, and technical manuals for field installation
Update project documentation to reflect current conditions, approvals, and scope changes
Assist with QA/QC efforts, coordinating inspections and ensuring compliance with project standards
Support procurement efforts, including vendor coordination and delivery tracking
Prepare meeting agendas, capture minutes, and maintain action item logs
Maintain clear communication between field and office teams
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the OSM leadership team
Qualifications
Experience & Education
Minimum 3 years of construction experience, including at least 1 year in offsite manufacturing (OSM), modular construction, or prefabrication (preferred)
Experience with industrial or high-tech projects (preferred)
OSHA 30 certification (can be obtained after hire)
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
Familiarity with project management tools: Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, MS Project, Primavera P6
Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D construction documents and specifications
Understanding of CSI specification system

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Combination of desk work and field activity
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairs; work in confined spaces and high-noise environments
Frequent use of computer systems, as well as bending, twisting, kneeling, or crouching for inspections
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and transport equipment/materials short distances
Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to operate a vehicle for site access
