Project Field Technical Engineer

Position Summary
 
We are seeking a Project Field Technical Engineer to provide hands-on IT and technical support for a hyper-scale construction project site near Amarillo, Texas. This role will work directly with the onsite project team, corporate IT, and third-party contractors to ensure that critical technology systems remain functional, secure, and reliable throughout the project lifecycle. This is a site-based position with a mix of technical troubleshooting, network support, and jobsite mobilization responsibilities. 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  
 
 Install, troubleshoot, and repair hardware, software, and peripheral equipment 
 
 Assist with and manage site-wide network setup, connectivity, and support 
 
 Support jobsite trailer mobilization, moves, and demobilization 
 
 Proactively address service requests and resolve technical issues 
 
 Manage service tickets through the IT ticketing system; escalate when necessary 
 
 Collaborate with other IT team members and third-party vendors to resolve issues quickly 
 
 Support jobsite network upgrades and system moves, occasionally during non-business hours 
 
 Maintain IT systems to ensure reliability, security, and efficiency across the project site 
  
  
 
 
Qualifications
 
  
 
 Minimum 5 years of technical support experience troubleshooting PCs, printers, peripherals, networks, and connectivity 
 
 At least 3 years of experience coordinating jobsite IT mobilizations and demobilizations 
 
 Strong knowledge of networking topology, routers, switches, and wireless access points 
 
 In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows (desktop and server), as well as Office 365 applications 
 
 Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multiple environments simultaneously 
 
 Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team 
 
 Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting 
 
 Construction-related industry experience preferred 
 
 Willingness to travel to support other jobsites as needed 
 
 Ability to train and certify to operate mobile lift platforms 
 
 Valid driver's license required 
  
  
 
 
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
 
  
 
 Ability to alternate between office work and active onsite duties 
 
 Must be able to climb stairs and occasionally ladders 
 
 Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds 
 
 Frequent use of computers and IT equipment requiring strong hand/eye coordination 
 
 Visual, hearing, and communication abilities sufficient for an active jobsite environment 
 
 Willingness to work flexible hours, including off-shifts as needed to support site operations
