Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Project Management Quality Engineer to lead initiatives that reduce Cost Per Unit (CpU) for large diesel engines and generator sets. This role blends project management, quality engineering, and cross-functional collaboration to identify, implement, and sustain cost-saving opportunities without compromising product performance or reliability. The ideal candidate will be adept at analyzing field complaints, driving corrective actions, and translating insights into measurable improvements across manufacturing and service processes.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead and coordinate activities within CpU Reduction project workstreams, ensuring timely preparation, follow-up, and moderation of meetings.
*Provide operational support to project teams, tracking progress and ensuring accountability for action items.
*Analyze field complaints (warranty, policy, spare parts, and 0-hour to <100-hour claims) to identify error patterns and systemic issues.
*Conduct root cause analyses at component, process, and system levels to support accurate fault identification.
*Support the development and refinement of process FMEAs, addressing recurring failure causes and translating findings into corrective measures.
*Convert optimization opportunities into actionable initiatives aimed at both reactive and preventive complaint reduction.
*Validate the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions through testing and feedback loops.
*Document lessons learned, root cause validations, and corrective actions in structured reports and analyses.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of quality initiatives with business objectives.

Required Qualifications
*Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or a related field.
*5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Project Management within manufacturing.
*Knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engine manufacturing and related processes.
*Strong skills in organization, planning, and follow-up.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
*Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
*Hands-on experience with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, and Six Sigma.
*Proficiency in QMS platforms and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
*Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
*ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
*Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
*PMP Certification or equivalent project management credential.
