Prefer candidates in the San Francisco area, Pacific time zone is required Up to 20 hours per week Our Health Tech client is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient part-time Production Designer to join our in-house creative team. This role is critical in executing complex, variable-versioned marketing materials (both digital and print) for their large B2C customer base. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and experienced in designing and producing dynamic assets that align with customer segmentation and personalization strategies.
This role will partner closely with Creative, GROMO (Marketing Ops), and channel marketing teams to deliver tailored content across multiple channels-including emails, direct mailers, and promotional collateral-based on customer engagement and program participation. Key Responsibilities:
- Versioned Asset Production
- Create and manage multiple creative variations of emails, print materials, and digital assets based on audience segmentation, personalization rules, and program-specific content.
- Ensure all variations are on-brand and meet creative standards.
- Variable Content Management
- Implement complex variable data logic for email and print workflows (e.g., content blocks that change based on region, program enrollment, lifecycle stage, etc.).
- Partner with CRM, GROMO, and external print vendors to ensure data-driven content rules are accurate and executable.
- File Preparation & Delivery
- Build print-ready files for production partners, ensuring correct versioning, color standards, and format requirements.
- Deliver final assets to GROMO, verifying compliance with technical specs.
- Quality Assurance & Testing
- Rigorously QA all versions for accuracy, branding, and consistency across channels.
- Review proofs and test sends to validate dynamic content rendering and version integrity.
- Workflow Optimization & Collaboration
- Develop template systems or modular design approaches that enable scalable versioning.
- Work cross-functionally with Creative, GROMO, and Growth Marketing teams to streamline production workflows.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of production design experience in a fast-paced B2C environment, specifically working with variable versioning and dynamic print/email design, and personalization logic.
- Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, with advanced file organization and template-building skills.
- Comfortable working with complex version matrices and tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and pivot quickly as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Skilled in relationship building with cross-functional Marketing stakeholders
- Familiarity with Bynder (DAM), workflow platforms (Asana), and marketing tools (Iterable, Marq, Highspot)
- Experience with modular design systems or design systems for scalable creative execution
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40 to $45 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
