Description

6.5.1.1. Ability to communicate concisely and convincingly (both verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Create and give presentations of data analysis to SUBMEPP internal and external customers and leadership.

6.5.1.2. Demonstrate ability to understand complex systems and overcome ambiguity.

6.5.1.3. Experience using data for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.

6.5.1.4. Proficiency in data science tools and technologies, visualization/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI), as well as analytical languages (e.g., Python, SQL, and other industry standard technologies)

6.5.1.5. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, especially in a technical environment.

6.5.1.6. Create, maintain, and update technical documentation associated with data models, machine learning models, visualizations, and other data analytics products.

6.5.1.7. Ensure analysis and developed solutions meet DISA STIGs, DOD and SUBMEPP policies and standards.

6.5.1.8. Perform data analysis in support of ongoing and future SUBMEPP Data Analytics projects and programs.

6.5.1.9. Support sustainment and enhancement of existing data models.

6.5.1.10. Develop data models, machine learning models, and data visualizations.

6.5.1.11. Support future model expansion efforts by leveraging innate knowledge of the model and Navy data.

6.5.1.12. Execute and analyze established metrics and develop new metrics for both leadership visibility and programmatic performance.

6.5.1.13. Develop new and sustain existing data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI or Python, or other SUBMEPP analytics/visualization software.

6.5.1.14. Perform analysis on Navy ship system, maintenance, and material data to ensure safe, reliable, affordable operations of Navy vessels through their lifecycle.

6.5.1.15. Individuals performing the above tasks will need to have CSWF certification in CompTIA Security + or Global Information Assurance Certification Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).

Requirements

Education: BS in IT, Cyber, CS, IS or DS

Must have Security+, active clearance, and be on-site 2nd week of on-boarding at PSNY.

This role also requires part-time on-premises support (up to 60%).
