About the Opportunity: As an Inspector here at Pursuit Aerospace, you will have the opportunity to be immersed in a high-paced manufacturing environment. Working alongside the production team, and fellow inspectors, you will be responsible for ensuring product being produced meets all our customer needs.

Location: Stuart, Florida

Shift: 2nd Shift Monday to Friday 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM (10% Shift Differential)

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products using various inspection gages, scales, and visual inspection prior to product shipment
  • Perform complex geometric layout inspection using standard variable gaging and relative mathematics.
  • Prepare and submit first article inspections to customer requirements
  • Verification of certifications and testing of incoming raw materials
  • Function as Designated Quality Representative for various customers to release products for shipment.
  • Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and other surface irregularities.
  • Compare product with applicable parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
  • Verifies dimensional compliance of all products with drawing and customer requirements.
  • Interprets engineering drawings and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Performs in-process inspection and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with all applicable mechanical and process related requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Working knowledge of basic inspection tools (i.e. dial calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on inspection experience - 6 months
  • Ability to understand and read basic blueprint requirements (i.e. notes, dimensional lines, section views, symbols, etc.)
  • Previous experience using advanced layout inspection methods (height gage, optical comparator, pi tapes, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of basic inspection tools (.e. dial calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
  • Attention to detail

Working Conditions:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of being forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift certified
  • Must be able to climb ladder, work on platforms, and climb stairs
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
