Position: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Center & Cloud Architect to join this team! The Data Center & Cloud Architect will design and manage the data center and cloud infrastructure. This role involves strong servant leadership, strategic planning and hands-on support during operations. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure systems that support our manufacturing and business needs. You will also act as a Principal/Lead Datacenter & Cloud Engineer, handling installation, configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and guiding the team through complex challenges. Key Responsibilities: Proven experience guiding technical team engagements and providing effective servant leadership, collaboration, and teamwork. Architect, implement, manage, and maintain enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions across both on-premises and Azure cloud platforms. Act as the go-to Senior/Lead Cloud Engineer during operations, resolving issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring up time. Design and manage hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises and cloud environments effectively. Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards across all environments. Strong knowledge of infrastructure security principles, including identity and access management, network segmentation, and cloud security controls. Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources to balance cost efficiency with high performance. Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud and data center operations. Lead projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and objectives. Maintain up-to-date documentation on architecture, configurations, and processes. Provide guidance to team members, fostering skill development and team growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required 6+ years in cloud engineering and data center management Minimum 3 years in architecture or senior engineering role Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud); Azure preferred Significant hands-on experience with hybrid IT environments, including both on-premises data centers and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP); Azure preferred Strong knowledge of on-premises data center infrastructure, including servers and storage, networking, wireless, firewalls, security, and virtualization Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python) Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities Excellent communication skills and ability to co-design and co-manage with Amplify IT teams and third-party vendors and implementation partners Demonstrable collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to prioritize and manage several projects at one time Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus Microsoft Azure Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Architect is a plus; Azure preferred Additional certifications in security, networking or data center technologies is a plus Summary: This is a direct-hire opportunity based out of Byhalia MS. The role will require a hybrid schedule, so we need candidates to be located regionally.
