Network Engineer

Description

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer at Fort Belvoir, VA to support operations on a high-profile DoD contract. The Integrated Information Technology Support Services program provides enterprise-wide IT support for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to consolidate, modernize, and maintain the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities to DTRA's internal and external mission partners operating worldwide.

This position is located on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA and requires U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support Tier I-III network operations on three distinct DoD enclaves to include installation, operation, and maintenance (IOM) of network equipment.

• Ensure all network changes follow configuration management (CM) and DoD Change Advisory Board (CAB) procedures.

• Ensure all network devices are in compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides.

• Document logical and physical network designs using drawing tools (e.g. Visio, PowerPoint) to depict systems, subsystems, interfaces, components, and communications of IT applications and infrastructure

• Conduct IOM impacting customer service after core hours and surge in the event of unscheduled outages or degradations.

Required Qualifications:

• BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience. Specific experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Active Security+ CE and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications.

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

• Personal Initiative (Self-Starter)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Identity Management Implementation, and/or F5 Certified Administrator

• Experience with any of the following technologies: Cisco Identity Services Engine, Cisco Layer 2 & 3 switches and routers, Cisco Unified Call Manager, Dell Versa, F5 Load Balancer, and General Dynamics Tactical Local Area Network Encryptors.
