| Overview:Supports project teams using a wide range of developing professional skills. Performs basic engineering tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge while working with the project team. Shows an interest and dedication in acquiring new skills and greater understanding of job expectations. Responsibilities: 
 Executes the structural engineering tasks assigned or as otherwise directed under general supervisionAssists in creation of implementation documentsPerforms effectively as a team member during design and/or construction phasesAssists project team in applying building code provisionsWorks with interpreting material design standardsMaintains active awareness of the production schedule for responsible task(s)Reviews completed tasks at key intervals for accuracy/completenessPerforms structural CA tasks assigned by senior engineering staff including submittal review and response to project RFI'sAssists in communicating with other disciplines and project team members to ensure incorporation of information into project requirementsParticipates in team meetings to discuss project issues, coordination with other disciplines and technical issuesMay review project meeting notes and telephone conversationsTravel may be required Qualifications: Education and Experience 
 For summer intern roles, pursuit of professional degree at an accredited university is expected.Accredited professional degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering or related fieldTypically 0-3 years of experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Advanced - expert-level experience, knowledge or skills Intermediate - experience, knowledge or skills required to produce high-quality solutions or work Basic - familiar with primary concepts or capabilities and may perform elementary functions depending on role 
 Basic knowledge of Revit and BIM requiredBasic knowledge of MS Office Suite requiredBasic ability to learn structural analytical software requiredBasic knowledge of building codes, material design standards, select structural standards, constructability, etc. requiredBasic ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing requiredBasic ability to problem solve and collaborate on innovative solutions requiredBasic ability to work in team environment requiredBasic ability to work on multiple projects at the same time requiredBasic ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality required Base Salary Range: $74k to $80k annually - Chicago location only.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role.
