The Role
As a Field CTO, you will serve as both a client-facing technology advisor and an internal integrator of innovation. This role helps customers unlock meaningful transformation by applying Presidio's technology leadership and innovation to drive measurable outcomes. You will also serve as the voice of a unified Presidio, connecting capabilities across practices such as Digital, Cloud, Networking, and Security to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions. FCTOs partner directly with sales, delivery, and practice leaders, guide executive conversations, and scale Presidio's innovation-led growth model

Responsibilities include:

Client Strategy & Innovation Leadership:



  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to senior IT and business leaders across strategic accounts.
  • Lead Executive Briefings (EBCs), QBRs, and transformation workshops tailored to customer needs and Presidio's differentiated value.
  • Translate complex technologies (AI/ML, hybrid cloud, automation, app modernization) into business-relevant strategies.Co-create transformation roadmaps with clients, from PoC to scaled deployment.


    Practice & Field Collaboration:



    • Act as a connective tissue across practices, unifying Presidio's diverse capabilities into solutions that reflect full power of our portfolio.
    • Serve as an embedded technology partner to one or more practices (e.g., Digital, Networking, Cloud).
    • Collaborate with Practice GMs and SMEs to develop integrated solution offerings and go-to-market narratives.
    • Provide real-time field intelligence and customer insight to shape offerings and messaging.


    Innovation-to-Execution Integration:



    • Influence innovation roadmaps based on customer insights and emerging enterprise needs.
    • Collaborate with practice and R&D teams to shape market pilots and validate offerings through early client feedback
    • Assist in positioning R&D assets (e.g., HAI, Edge AI demos) in front of customers and partners.


        Thought Leadership & Evangelism:



        • Represent Presidio in client forums, technology partner briefings and industry conferences.
        • Contribute to whitepapers, blogs, and webinars that showcase Presidio's unique point of view on AI, modernization, and enterprise transformation.
        • Be a visible voice for both strategic innovation and practical, field-tested insights.


        Enablement & Messaging:



        • Develop unified cross-practice storylines and field-ready messaging frameworks.
        • Train and mentor field teams on how to sell with innovation and position full Presidio value.
        • Deliver internal workshops that improve technology fluency across sales and account teams.


        Minimum Qualifications:



        • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field OR equivalent experience and/or military experience.
        • 15+ years in technical consulting, solutions architecture, or transformation leadership.
        • 5-10 years' experience in a technology leadership role
        • Proven success in guiding enterprise IT strategy and leading complex digital initiatives.
        • Deep understanding of at least two of the areas Cloud, AI/ML, Digital, and Networking.
        • Experience in collaborating with partner ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, Cisco, Dell and Nvidia
        • Curiosity with a growth mindset. Natural inclination towards emerging technologies, challenge assumptions and continuously lean in service of delivering better outcomes for our customers.
        • Experience engaging C-level clients and driving account expansion.
        • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational silos and align cross-functional goals.
        • Comfortable presenting to both technical and business stakeholders.
