Job Duties:

Fox Cable Network Services, LLC seeks a Software Developer (Senior Frontend Engineer, Web), responsible for developing FOX entertainment websites. Use the latest technologies to bring FOX customers the best in live news, sports and entertainment on all their devices. Principle duties include: 1) Develop, test, launch and support web applications in collaboration with FOX partners on the product team. 2) Collaborate with other front-end and back-end engineers on the best technical solutions to new challenges. 3) Write performant, maintainable, testable code and automate as much testing as possible to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. 4) Lead and participate in rigorous code reviews across engineering squads. 5) Mentor new junior engineers on best practices in performance and security. Telecommuting permitted from any location in the U.S.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate software engineering or related software development experience, including experience developing and supporting web applications; unit testing, performance testing, automation testing and E2E testing; and frontend experience in an agile environment supporting a high visibility/high traffic application.

*Specific skills: Also requires experience in the following: 1) Next.js, Node.js, React, Git and GitHub; 2) Software development languages such as TypeScript and JavaScript; 3) Utilizing and integrating SDK libraries and leveraging development tools; 4) Media playback and streaming technologies such as HLS and DASH; 5) Analytics tools such as Optimizely and Datadog; 6) Working with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality; and 7) Mentoring junior developers and contributing to team skill development

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $179,982.00-197,980.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
