Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a Salesforce Software Developer (multiple levels) with deep expertise in Salesforce to join our CRM development teams. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver end-to-end solutions to meet business process needs. You will work to connect our Salesforce ecosystem with internal and external systems through MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform. You'll be a part of the full lifecycle of projects advising on architecture, writing robust code and/or configuration, and ensuring security and reliability. This person will work closely with our business analysts and internal business stakeholders to understand their key business drivers and data needs, and scope out and build scalable and suitable solutions that will help our customers with the information needed for planning, analysis, and decision-making.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and low-code configuration based solutions when possible
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects to translate requirements into scalable technical designs
  • Optimize performance of Apex triggers, batch jobs, platform events, and flows under high-volume loads
  • Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventative measures
  • Develop and consume multi-layer APIs and integrations, preferably on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, leveraging API-led connectivity best practices
  • Enforce enterprise-grade security on both platforms, including Salesforce Shield (Platform Encryption, Event Monitoring), and MuleSoft security policies (OAuth, JWT, client-ID enforcement)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Employment is contingent on

Required Education and/or Experience

  • 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on Salesforce

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

Salesforce Platform development

Apex classes, triggers, platform events, and asynchronous processing (Queueable, Batchable)

Lightning Component Framework: Lightning Web Components

Data modeling: custom objects, lookups, master-detail, schema design

Security: Salesforce Shield (Platform Encryption, Event Monitoring), permission sets, sharing rules, experience with complex sharing scenarios

Integration patterns: REST/SOAP APIs, Bulk API, Streaming API, Platform Events, External Services

Developing custom Portals on Experience Cloud, highly desirable

Experience with working with 3rd Party Managed and Unmanaged packages within the Salesforce Org

Experience with developing Integrations with Salesforce

API-led connectivity: System, Process, and Experience layers

API best practices in design and policies

Error handling, and batch processing

Connectors: Salesforce, Database, MQ, SFTP

Secure APIs with OAuth 2.0, JWT, client-ID enforcement, and TLS best practices

Monitoring, logging, and SLA enforcement with Monitoring and Alerts

Proficient with version control (Git)

MuleSoft Anypoint development highly desirable, or the ability to train in MuleSoft development
