About the Role

The Business Development Representative is responsible for the complete sales cycle with an aim to maximizing revenue, net gross profits and customer satisfaction by developing deep relationships with key people in the supplier organization & partners. The Business Development Representative demonstrates strong business and financial acumen, leadership skills, and effective communication and influencing abilities.

The ideal candidate is capable of working on a hybrid schedule if local to one of our offices and exhibits a strong desire and capacity to promote TD SYNNEX's offerings.
This role could be classified as level II, III, or IV depending on business needs and the candidate's skill level. This job description is reflective of a Business Development Representative III.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying new partnership opportunities.

  • Proactively seek out and explore potential partnership opportunities, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.

  • Track and manage the vendor pipeline, including identifying and qualifying leads, and moving opportunities through the sales cycle.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely follow-up and accurate reporting on vendor-related activities.

  • Provide vendor training sessions as an SME, ensuring partners have a strong understanding of products and programs.

  • Act as a lead go-to person for sales personnel, providing support and guidance in dealing with customer inquiries, sales strategies, and business development opportunities.

  • Utilize negotiation skills to secure profitable partnerships and agreements.

  • Manage the profit and loss (P&L) aspects of deals to ensure financial viability and profitability.

  • Continuously explore and develop new strategies and approaches to uncover business opportunities.

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify potential areas for growth.

  • Assist in per development, training, & coaching; lead on complex issues

  • Attend industry specific business trainings from vendors.

  • Strong business & financial acumen, leadership skills, communication/influencing abilities

What We're Looking For

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience preferred.

  • College degree in business, marketing, computer science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • In-depth knowledge of sales processes and terminology.

  • Willingness to travel as needed (10-20% +/- depending on business need).

  • Ability to execute instructions accurately and seek clarification when necessary.

  • Proficiency with common office equipment, basic data entry and mathematical capabilities.

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Clear and effective communication skills, including proficiency in English and other local/regional languages.

  • Ability to create and deliver formal presentations to all levels of the organization as well as customers, vendors, and resellers.

  • Effective interaction with all levels of management.

  • Skillful negotiation and persuasive promotion of ideas.

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Adaptability to change and flexibility in various situations.

  • Commitment to maintaining social, ethical, and organizational standards in all business activities.
