Associate Sales Representative - ONC - Great Lakes

Overview

Myriad Genetics is seeking a driven and passionate Sales Associate (SA) to join our Oncology team in the Great Lakes territory. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to advancing patient care through precision medicine and molecular diagnostics.

As a Sales Associate, you will collaborate closely with a Territory Sales Executive (SE) and Sales Manager to promote and educate healthcare providers on Myriad's portfolio of oncology-focused molecular genetic tests. These tests empower clinicians to make personalized treatment decisions, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the standard of cancer care.

Location Requirement: Must reside within the Great Lakes territory

Responsibility

1. Provide sales support to targeted accounts, physicians, and staff.
2. Observe and assist territory SE with full lifecycle of the product sales process, including new business development and lead generation via programs and other initiatives.
3. Support existing customers with workflow related to Myriad.
4. Manage billing/customer issues.
5. Prospect targeted customer types.
6. Meet expense budget and administrative requirements.
7. Update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging including strategic and tactical information.
8. Attend local tradeshows, industry conferences and networking events.
9. Stay current on industry and marketplace trends in personalized medicine.

Qualifications

1. BS/BA degree preferred, ideally in a related field of study.
2. 2 years of experience in a sales or sales support position preferred.
3. Healthcare industry is a plus.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Proven ability to manage ever-increasing responsibility and sustain growth.
6. Effective at overcoming obstacles and challenges utilizing problem solving skills.
7. Strong knowledge and understanding of coverage and reimbursement issues.
8. Working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information.
9. Demonstrated values and ethics that support Myriad's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct.
10. Ability to use discretion and professionalism as it relates to handling patient and physician information and documentation.
11. Track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient
12. Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated.
13. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word and CRM, preferably Salesforce.
14. Ability to travel and do overnights as needed.
15. Valid driver's license and driving record that meets safe and satisfactory criteria per Myriad's motor vehicle driving record policy.

Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements - sedentary to light work or exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. OSHA category III - normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue and as part of the employment, will not be called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
