Job Description


The HR Business Partner is a strategic HR advisor, working closely with corporate leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, change management, and talent strategy. This role requires a deeper level of HR expertise and leadership in areas such as employee relations, performance management, and regulatory compliance. The HRBP partners with senior management to develop and implement HR initiatives that align with business objectives.



Essential Functions



General Duties



  • Serve as a strategic HR consultant to corporate leaders, advising on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategy.
  • Drive HR initiatives that align with business goals, ensuring consistency in HR practices across the organization.
  • Lead and deliver HR training programs to enhance leadership capabilities and employee development.
  • Partner with cross-functional HR teams to implement company-wide programs and change initiatives.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases and provide expert guidance to leadership teams.


Employee Relations



  • Conduct and lead complex workplace investigations and provide recommendations on resolution.
  • Advise managers on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and legal compliance.
  • Manage ADA accommodations and oversee FMLA and job-protected leave processes.


Performance Management



  • Provide executive coaching and strategic guidance on talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Lead workforce planning efforts to address talent gaps and improve retention.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop data-driven solutions for business challenges.


Compliance



  • Act as the HR subject matter expert for employment laws, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for leaders and employees.
  • Conduct HR audits and risk assessments to mitigate legal and financial exposure.


Basic Requirements



  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, and HR strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Advanced communication, leadership, and consulting skills.
  • Proven experience in project management and implementing HR initiatives.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as needed.


Preferred Requirements



  • 5+ years of HR experience in a business partner or generalist role.
  • Experience in the construction or related industries.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification.
