Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions that address high-impact business challenges. In this role, you will build and customize advanced models, including large language models (LLMs), to deliver predictive and prescriptive insights that are scalable, secure, and compliant with enterprise standards. You will partner closely with engineers and business stakeholders to bring AI capabilities into production systems and customer-facing applications.

At Genesys, we are transforming the customer experience landscape with empathy, AI innovation, and global impact. Joining our team means contributing to solutions that redefine how companies engage with their customers while working in a collaborative, innovative, and mission-driven environment.

About the Team

The Data, Analytics & AI team is a central function that unites practices in Data Engineering, Data Platform and Technologies, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Product, AI, and Data Governance. We support the enterprise across sales, finance, marketing, customer success, product, and more. Our team partners with core business systems, including Salesforce and Workday, to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and validate machine learning models (classification, regression, forecasting, anomaly detection) for enterprise use cases.

  • Customize and fine-tune large language models for domain-specific applications, including summarization, classification, conversational AI, and knowledge extraction.

  • Develop predictive and prescriptive models that integrate seamlessly into enterprise decision-making workflows.

  • Conduct feature engineering, data enrichment, and exploratory analysis on structured and unstructured datasets.

  • Partner with AI/ML engineers to productionize models within the AI services platform.

  • Ensure models meet requirements for performance, reliability, scalability, explainability, and compliance.

  • Collaborate with platform engineers on model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management standards.

  • Create evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, fairness, drift, and business impact of deployed models.

  • Work with business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities, define success criteria, and translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Partner with AI application developers to integrate model outputs into end-user applications.

  • Contribute to best practices in responsible AI, including bias mitigation, transparency, and ethical usage.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in applied data science or machine learning roles within enterprise settings.

  • Proficiency in Python and ML/AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face).

  • Demonstrated experience in building and deploying custom ML models at scale.

  • Familiarity with LLM customization techniques (fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings-based retrieval, adapters).

  • Strong background in data wrangling and pipelines (SQL, Spark, Pandas) with large, diverse datasets.

  • Solid knowledge of model evaluation methods and ability to communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise-grade deployments (MLOps pipelines, monitoring, compliance frameworks).

  • Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed ML systems.

  • Exposure to data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong record of applied research, innovation, or contributions to open-source ML/AI projects.
