JOB SUMMARY
Operating Authority responsible for dispatching and directing the operation of distribution/transmission substations, lines (34.5kV and below) and feeder control devices throughout the Company. Analyzes service outages and dispatches appropriate personnel to trouble locations Company-wide. Serves as point-of-contact for and between crews, customers, contractors or other Company personnel.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

* Entry level professional. Performs assignments with standardized processes. Works under direct supervision. Resolves questions and problems within established standards and guidelines. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* May be assigned to work all regions within the OG&E system while adhering to applicable processes.


* Identify and reference applicable procedures, as needed.


* Maintain multiple logs, records, and reports associated with assigned work.


* Monitor progress of work orders and trouble orders to ensure detailed and accurate information is forwarded to appropriate parties.


* Participate in training required for career progression and to maintain access to restricted areas and information.


* Perform reconnects and disconnects as requested by customers completing home repairs or construction.


* Perform duties to support 24-hour operation of the DCC.


* Follow and ensure compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).


* Dispatch outage and routine service orders company-wide to field personnel.


* Participate in writing, reviewing, and directing single circuit switching orders.


* Promote and support safety awareness.


* All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

* Associate's Degree in a directly related field (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Power Technology, Engineering Technology); Or


* High School Diploma/GED and 2 years experience in Electric Services Engineering, OGE Customer Operations Technical Support group, or related Construction Function (e.g., Lineman, Substation Operations Technician, Relay Technician); Or


* High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of Control Center Environment experience (e.g. 911 Dispatch, Oil and Gas Operations Control Center experience); Or


* High School Diploma/GED and a certification in a directly related field (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Power Technology, Engineering Technology).

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Will be required to work non-standard work schedules to include nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime, and call-outs.

* Requires use of shared workstations.

* Occasional overnight travel may be required, for district visits, meetings, training, etc.

* Required to obtain and maintain switching certification within Six (6) months of job entry.

* May be required to be periodically available for after-hours emergencies.

* Work consists of directing crews in potentially hazardous conditions and may involve stressful situations and extended hours of work.

SPECIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

* Member will not be required to drive in order to perform their job duties.

* The operation, maintenance or oversight of critical services and infrastructure including but not limited to, electric utilities, power generation or distribution;

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

* Ability to learn safe working and operating procedures.

* Ability to effectively use a personal computer with MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

* Ability to recognize and communicate safety and electrical hazards to ensure safety of field personnel and safe operation of OGE distribution system.

* Demonstrated strong customer focus and customer service skills.

* Ability to perform work with or without direct supervision.

* Ability to adapt to shift work and rotating work schedule.

* Ability to extract data and develop reports.

* Ability to learn outage management process and software applications (e.g. CADS/OMS).

* Ability to learn software applications (e.g. ArcFM, Basic Print Reading, E-Map, OMS/CADs).

* Ability to learn relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

* Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing.

* Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot issues, and prioritize responsibilities.

* Knowledge of basic arithmetic calculations.

SALARY RANGE

$58,656 - $73,320
