John Zink, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for Controls Interns to join our team for Summer 2026. This position is located in Tulsa, OK.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in programming PLCs and setting up automation components such as HMIs, VFDs, controllers, and data recorders.
  • Support the design and development of control system solutions alongside experienced engineers.
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities under supervision.
  • Collaborate with technicians and customers to gain practical experience and understand project goals.
  • Help with documentation, reporting, and maintaining project records.
  • Learn industry standards and best practices related to control engineering.
  • Contribute to assigned projects by providing support and actively engaging in hands-on tasks.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Enrolled in a degree or alternative program. (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)
  • Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2027
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program of Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
