Overall Purpose:

The Senior Director, Learning and Talent Development is responsible for envisioning, designing, and driving Early Warning's enterprise-wide learning & talent development strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, business growth objectives, and cultural aspirations. This position oversees the development and roll-out of scalable, high-impact learning solutions that accelerate leadership readiness, enhance workforce capability, and deliver measurable business outcomes across the enterprise.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Sets the strategic vison for enterprise learning and development, aligning initiatives to corporate strategy, cultural priorities, and evolving market demands.

  • Leads the design and delivery of enterprise-wide, high impact learning strategies, including leadership development, skill-building programs, and talent acceleration pathways that measurably improve performance and organizational agility.

  • Builds, leads, and mentors a high-performing, cross-functional learning and development organization capable of delivering innovative solutions at scale.

  • Partners with executive leadership team, HR Business Partners, and functional leaders to anticipate talent needs and design forward-looking development strategies that support long-term growth and transformation.

  • Oversees enterprise-wide leadership development programs, succession planning, readiness efforts, and talent pipeline strategies to ensure a robust bench for critical roles.

  • Champions a culture of continuous learning by leveraging cutting-edge technologies, data analytics, and industry best practices to drive engagement, capability, and retention.

  • Leads the measurement and evaluation of learning investments, ensuring outcomes are tied directly to business impact and workforce performance.

  • Manages enterprise-wide training budget, optimize vendor partnership, and ensure turn on investment for all learning programs.

  • Establishes a regular reporting cadence to keep leaders informed of training and talent program metrics, trends and roadmap.

  • Owns new hire programs and work closely with managers tosupport their efforts to onboard new employees.

  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field.

  • 15 or more years of experience in a training or learning & development role, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Effective leadership skills and demonstrated success building and retaining high performing teams.

  • Led the creation and execution of enterprise learning and development strategy.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for delivering training, creating content, and collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Ability to outline the return on the training investment in ways that are relevant to business leaders.

  • Demonstrated experience as a progressive and creative change agent with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience developing effective leadership programs from concept to measurement of success.

  • Ability to develop meaningful trusting relationships at all levels within the organization to gain support and achieve results.

  • Proven project management and/or business planning experience in a rapidly changing environment managing multiple initiatives.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in key areas of talent development and/or project management.

  • Intermediate to expert level data and analytics development.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The base pay scale for this position in:
Phoenix, AZ in USD per year is: $180,000 - $230,000.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
