Direct and manage instructional program and supervise academic campus operations and personnel at the direction of the principal(s). Coordinate teachers and parents to provide educational opportunities to the students. Solve conflicts and develop policies as needed.

  • TTU K-12, a unit of the Texas Tech University Online division, is a state-approved online kindergarten through 12th-grade school that has been meeting students' needs for more than 25 years.

  • TTU K-12 began in 1993 as a "Special Purpose District" designed to help students whose educational needs were not adequately met by traditional school districts. Since then, we have grown to serve students across the country and more than 70 nations around the world.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Teacher Supervision - Assist with instructional methods, best practices, and serve as a liaison to connect teachers with the proper support when needed (curriculum IT, etc.), Monitory teacher turnaround time to ensure timely and effective feedback, Conduct virtual teacher meetings with large and small groups, as well as with individual teachers and manage teacher supervision activities in project management forms.
  • Teacher Staffing - Continually monitor and evaluate staffing needs for teaching positions, Work to recruit, interview, hire with TTU's Practices, onboard and train teachers, Monitor and balance teacher workloads, Manager teacher staffing activities in project management forms.
  • Customer Service - Serve as primary academic escalation point for teachers and parents, Relay information to principal as appropriate and if unable to resolve issue, escalate to Principal or appropriate staff member.
  • Assist TTU K-12 Principal - Assist with management of full-time stateside and international programs, including staffing, marketing, enrollment, and support of students, parents, partners, and domestic schools. Assist with academic needs of supplemental students when appropriate. Assist with monitoring and managing IEP and 504 accommodations as needed. Coordinate with other TTU K-12 staff to ensure all academic needs of TTU K-12 students are being fully met.
  • Attentively work on any and all other duties assigned by the principal.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Computer literate in Word, Excel, Office, and have knowledge of the SIS and LMS. Able to use video conferencing platforms. Excellent and effective written and oral communication skills. Have the ability to work and perform on several projects simultaneously. Have the ability to make sound judgments.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in educational administration, Texas principal certification or other appropriate Texas certificate; One year of experience as an Administrator in a Texas public school.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of current and future trends concerning online education. Experience in working in various LMS and SIS platforms. Experience supervising staff.
  • Active listening, critical thinking, detail oriented. Able to solve problems quickly and handle escalations. Experience with Online education, particularly in teaching and administration.
