Description The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the transportation operations of OPCS. This role involves strategic planning, coordinating logistics, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing budgets. The Transportation Supervisor leads the team to deliver efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions, addressing challenges in fleet management, logistics, and route planning and scheduling. They are pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency contributing to the overall productivity and success of the OPCS. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Oversees daily transportation operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness 2. Develops and implement strategic transportation plans to improve efficiencies and reduce costs 3. Monitors and analyzes transportation metrics, KPIs, and reports for continuous improvement 4. Coordinates with internal teams for seamless transportation processes 5. Manages relationships with drivers to ensure efficient cooperation 6. Negotiates contracts with vendors and suppliers for favorable terms 7. Ensures compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards 8. Leads, mentors, and develops a team of transportation professionals 9. Conducts performance evaluations and supports professional development of transportation staff 10. Addresses and resolves transportation issues such as delays and service failures 11. Plans and oversees routing, scheduling, and dispatching of transportation vehicles 12. Optimizes utilization of transportation assets, including fleet management and maintenance 13. Stays informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices 14. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support company initiatives 15. Conducts risk assessments and develop contingency plans for transportation disruptions. 16. Other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and experience related to working in a professional setting. Excellent verbal and written communication and administrative skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Ability to multi-task. Ability to navigate Microsoft Office programs with ease. Valid Arizona driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Employment References, background check are conducted pre-employment. Pay Rate - $46,633 - $57,262 - $67,870 In accordance with pay transparency, the salary reflected in this posting is the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Salary placement is typically between the minimum and mid-point of the salary range. |
