The Vice President of Supply Chain is responsible for optimizing supply chain operations, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of materials and components. This role requires strategic vision, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of the aerospace industry's unique challenges and opportunities. This is a pivotal role requiring a proven track record of success in senior leadership roles within the aerospace industry and extensive experience in supply chain management and logistics. Preferably, this role is based from the corporate office in Tulsa, OK; however, candidates will be considered in alternate locations where we have physical locations (Grove OK, Wichita KS, Kent WA, Athens GA)

This role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore, qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):


  • An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship, or
  • An individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder), or
  • An individual who is granted status as a "protected person"

  • Develops and executes strategic plans to optimize supply chain functions and support operational objectives
  • Develops and implements supply chain policies & procedures to maximize efficiency and ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, export compliance and other applicable regulations; implements corrective actions as needed and drives continuous improvement in supply chain activities
  • Supports selection, training, and development of supply chain personnel to develop and maintain world-class supply chain operations; mentors site personnel and manages individual development plans in support of succession planning objectives; Manages corporate supply chain personnel
  • Maintains the supply chain scorecard and monitors associated metrics to assess supplier performance and compliance; monitors and assesses ESG metrics relative to supply chain; develops contingency plans to mitigate supplier risks
  • Ensures continuity of strong relationships with key suppliers, oversees negotiation of global contracts and multi-site long-term agreements with key suppliers and ensures compliance with contractual agreements
  • Develops strong partnerships with manufacturing leaders to address supply chain challenges and achieve operational objectives; collaborates cross-functionally with other disciplines to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency
  • Interfaces with quality personnel to address major supplier quality issues and oversees key supplier assertion claims; may manage insurance claims related to inventory loss or damage
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive advantage
  • Travels both domestically and internationally as needed; Must maintain a valid passport, driver's license, and acceptable driving record to enable required travel
  • Sets an example for integrity, communication, and compliance; encourages a culture of safety, quality and accountability


Required Education and Work Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Advanced supply chain certification is preferred
  • A minimum of ten (10) years in progressively responsible supply chain leadership positions in a metal products manufacturing industry is required; aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with global supplier management, export compliance, and CMMC compliance is required

  • Broad knowledge of AS9100 requirements, aerospace industry standards and specifications, quality management, CNC programming and machining concepts, and understanding of aerospace finishing requirements, including paint and/or processing specifications is required
  • Comprehensive supply chain knowledge; negotiation and procurement best practices, vendor management, and inventory control is required; a comprehensive understanding of ITAR and export compliance regulations is required
  • Experience interpreting technical documents and the ability to read and appropriately interpret blueprints, drawings, regulations, and technical specifications
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities to make appropriate decisions and handle unexpected challenges
  • Project management and organizational skills to ensure progress toward multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously; attention to detail and deadlines is critical
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality, securing employee and company records, and demonstrating integrity in communications and actions
  • Self-management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as well as online portals, tools & research methods
  • Proficiency in the functionality and use of ERP systems is required; experience with Infor Visual is preferred


Physical Demands and Work Environment

To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:


  • Sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer
  • Regularly stand and walk
  • Occasionally climb steps or stairs
  • Constantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts, or other messaging, and email
  • Use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, mouse, or other peripherals
  • Occasionally drive a motor vehicle


The typical work environment is an office setting; occasionally the employee will be required to visit manufacturing areas where they could be exposed to loud noises, fumes/odors, and hazards associated with moving equipment.

The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear will be required.

Travel

Occasional travel is required; some air travel and overnight travel will be required. Some international travel may be required so a valid Passport must be maintained. Regional travel via automobile will be required so a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record to maintain insurability is necessary.
