The Role
Manage and oversee all aspects of the USTA League program
Provide direction, support and supervision of the USTA League program
- Provide supervision and personnel review for the Coordinator of USTA Leagues.
- Serve as the National League Administrator and serve on League Leadership as described in the USTA League Regulations
- Act as primary point of contact for the USTA League program for all USTA staff and USTA Sections
- Staff Liaison to USTA League Committee and USTA Regulation Subcommittee, ensuring all reasonable requests for the League Committee and Regulation Subcommittee are met
- Support USTA Sections on growth strategies or other initiatives related to USTA Leagues
- Be the primary lead for all USTA League meetings including, but not limited to, monthly staff calls, League Committee calls (at the request of the Chair), in person USTA Leagues Meetings, etc.
- Partner with the Director of Adult Competition on growth opportunities at the National level as well as implementing USTA strategic initiatives within the USTA League program.
- Serve as a member of the NTRP Operations Team
- Ensure budgets do not exceed approved levels as given by the Director of Adult Competition
- Work closely with USTA technology partners for Tennis Link to ensure proper functionality of the platform.
- Work closely with the Marketing, Communications, Digital and Membership Departments to increase engagement and communication with USTA League providers and participants.
- Assist Director of Adult Competition and USTA Digital Team with development of the Serve Tennis USTA League platform
- Ensure all aspects of the League National Championships and League National Invitationals are properly delegated to the appropriate staff or completed on your own.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Adult Competition
- Work cross-functionally on other USTA duties and projects as requested.
Travel:
- Workshops, conferences, league championships, staff development or committee meetings as assigned, section engagement meetings, Annual Meetings for the USTA and its section offices as necessary.
Qualifications/Other:
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- An identifiable tennis background.
- Proven track record of success working in a team league environment.
- Outstanding management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
- Initiative and persistence in completing tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability in budget management
- USTA League knowledge is highly preferred
- NTRP and TennisLink knowledge is highly preferred
- Flexibility and ability to work cross-functionally with other department staff and volunteers.
- This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" and may allow for both remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $65,000 - 85,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
