* The Project Manager, through rigorous planning, ensures projects and services are performed with the highest quality, and at a profit. The Project Manager effectively pre-plans and communicates with key parties including customers, vendors, agents, and other subcontractors to coordinate labor, material and equipment to ensure the successful execution of projects and services.


The Project Manager plays a critical role in our successful Commercial Moving Operations, defined by the projects ultimate Safety, Quality and Profitability. This position offers excellent opportunities for advancement as well as ongoing training and continuing education.

Functions and Responsibilities


70% - Project Management:



  • Manage all facets of the projects, program, and services to ensure the delivery of the project in terms of timescales and achieving budget
  • Implement communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed. Facilitates project meetings.
  • Implements project documentation governance aligned with company and Client requirements. Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated
  • Ensure all materials, services and necessary equipment is ordered, accurate, and ready when needed to successfully perform the services and execute the projects
  • Track the progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances
  • Direct, coordinate, and manage the movement, distribution and storage of parts and materials, which includes but not limited to quoting shipment cost, transit times, and distribution planning, and processing
  • Identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks
  • Ensure the correct parts are identified, labeled, and managed with the correct information
  • Serve as the primary Point-of-Contact for logistical issues
  • Responsible for all health and safety matters related to the project and services



25% - Account Management:



  • Interface with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification
  • Coordinate and manage a network of agents, suppliers, and subcontractors ensuring all parties deliver services to a high and consistent standard and in accordance with client and service requirements. This includes, but is not limited to coordinating site surveys, ensure requirements are appropriately documented, and the projects are resourced correctly to optimize project timelines and budgets



5% - Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Preferred Skills



  • Minimum 4 years Project Management experience required, Project Management experience in Commercial Moving is strongly preferred
  • 2+ years Supplier Management experience preferred
  • Transportation & Logistics Management experience is strongly preferred, including international experience
  • Experienced in recruiting, training, onboarding and managing a network of suppliers, agents, and subcontractors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings is preferred
  • Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate


Education and Certification Requirements



  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM and/or comparable project management certifications preferred but not required

  • Position Title: Commercial Account Project Manager
  • Salary Range: $67,000-$95,800 USD
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Employer HSA Match, Life & Disability Insurance, Paid Time Off, Volunteer Time Off, ID Theft Protection Plan and more. Benefits are based on employment status and may not be available for temporary or part-time employees



Salary ranges may vary based on location, market conditions, and other factors such as experience and qualifications. The final compensation will be determined during the hiring process based on these considerations.
