 Mission The Safety Manager provides regional direction and leadership for all safety functions; directs, coordinates and is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Reeves Safety programs and associated activities.Main Responsibilities 
    Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teamsSupport, promote, and practice the Company's core values, vision, and mission; follow the code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policiesSupport the Reeves' safety culture and other Company strategic initiativesManages the investigation and review of all incidents/accidents and claims management in his/her region and is responsible for determining and initiating the appropriate corrective actionDevelops safety policies, procedures, and strategies for accident/incident preventionAdvises management of potential safety hazards to personnel or company property and resolves such hazardsConducts routine inspections at job sites and on company premises for compliance and manages regional audits and inspections by OSHA and MSHA; wears the appropriate protective attireLeads safety meetings; coordinates, facilitates, and/or conducts various safety-related training activities, including OSHA and MSHA deemed appropriate for achieving safety goals and objectivesCollaborates effectively with all levels of team members to achieve company safety goalsWork schedule varies based on operational requirements; may be required to work unpredictable and extended hours, including evenings and weekendsRequirements 
     Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or similar preferredCHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) and/or OHST (Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician) certification preferredValid drivers' license with clean driving history required Skills 
     5 years of experience in heavy civil construction safety preferredKnowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA rules and regulations requiredComputer and/or mobile device experience, including use of MS Office, Android and iOS applications requiredKnowledge of HCSS and HCSS Safety preferred Physical Requirements
