Overview

TISTA is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a team focused on analyzing and developing process improvements to U.S. government systems and vendor ecosystems within an Infrastructure Operations environment. This role combines the responsibilities of a customer facing Program Manager with an emphasis on managing AI-related projects and understanding AI prompting techniques. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of being able to review, develop, and recommend strategic plans, understand business analysis, as well as being able to support the development of monitoring tools and necessary governance support structures.

Responsibilities

  • Review, connect, and recommend nested IT strategies in support of larger enterprise IT imperatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of AI, FinOps, and infrastructure-related projects.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams to align project objectives with enterprise goals.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications across multiple workstreams and projects.
  • Oversee prompt engineering initiatives and ensure effective integration of LLM-based tools into workflows.
  • Track and report on project performance, risks, and dependencies using appropriate tools and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal security, privacy, and ethical AI standards.
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management within government or enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience managing AI-related projects and familiarity with prompt engineering concepts.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with U.S. government enterprise systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government), and vendor ecosystems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strategic IT planning experience.
  • Active U.S. government security clearance.
  • Experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude) and AI integration in enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53).
  • Background in infrastructure operations, cloud architecture, or systems engineering.
  • Certification in PMP, SAFe, or similar project management frameworks.
Soft Skills:
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Education:

  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science, systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline and 15+ years' work experience.
  • Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (25 years total).

Clearance:

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation.

Location:

  • Remote, USA
  • Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST)

Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $85,730 to $105,500.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
