Our Modern, Flexible Workplace: Summary of the Job: About This Role: Risk Management: The Business Owner Advisor, alongside the Business RM, will proactively identify items of Business Risk Management for our Business Segment customers. Using the Business Owner Advisory Services (BOAS) continuity planning process, the Advisor will create continuity plans for the business and the business owner in preparation for disability, death or other unexpected events. The Advisor will have sufficient knowledge to make planning recommendations concerning buy/sell reviews, liability planning, entity structure/tax planning, and estate/tax planning considerations. The Advisor will maintain a network of outside advisors needed to create and deliver recommendations and solutions to customers. Transition Planning: The Advisor, with the Business RM, will proactively identify opportunities to provide Succession Planning for our Business Segment customers. Using our BOAS assessment process and recommendation library, the Advisor will be responsible for creating action plans for the business owner and facilitate communication between stakeholders as needed. The Advisor will be adept at managing unique family dynamics and facilitating communication to promote planning progress. The Advisor will aid the business owner in their evaluation of exit options, including internal, external, and liquidation. Family-Owned Businesses: The Advisor, with the Business RM, will support business owning families by identifying opportunities to improve family communication and family dynamics through creating family governance structures, planning and facilitating family meetings, and creating education for business owning families. The Advisor will have access to firm-wide expertise to create and deliver all recommendations and solutions to family-owned business customers. FNBO Collaboration: The Advisor will work with business owners to identify financial planning opportunities, serving as a connecting point between the business segment and wealth segment. Whenever possible, they will be responsible for collaborating with wealth advisors and financial planners to bring an integrated perspective to the business owner. The Advisor will also identify opportunities for other opportunities to deepen the customer relationship, including, but not limited to insurance, mortgage, and personal banking. Subject Matter Expertise: The Advisor brings a strong level of expertise in business owner transition planning strategies. To maintain ongoing fluency, the Advisor will continuously expand their knowledge base by maintaining professional designations, seek out learning opportunities, and dedicate time to professional growth. Key focus areas include M&A, family systems, advanced trust and estate planning, tax planning, and capital markets. Business Owner Advisors will share this expertise within the business segment in a way that promotes RM education and development The Ideal Candidate for This Role: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, JD, CExP, CEPA, CVA, or CPA preferred Minimum of 7 years of specialized expertise and business owner advisory in succession planning, tax, valuation, investment banking, or estate planning Effective communication and facilitation skills to navigate challenging personality dynamics, mediate differing viewpoints, and support consensus building Commitment and demonstration of client sensitivity and confidentiality Ability to work independently with guidance in the most complex situations, as well as collaboratively within a team environment Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including confidence in presenting to and advising executive-level clients and their families Strong knowledge of the finance industry and the local, state, national and global economy Able to build credibility and trust by demonstrating knowledge and capabilities in multiple areas of the business and builds trust and confidence among co-workers and customers. Maintains composure during uncertain or ambiguous situations Flexibility of schedule to accommodate customer meetings occurring prior to or after normal business hours Additional Qualifications: CAP, CFP, CFA, CWS, CTFA, CFM or ability to earn additional accreditation is helpful. Compensation: Compensation range (base pay): $105,443.00-$179,253.00This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
