We are seeking a Manager, DevOps to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of St. Petersburg, FL.

Job Summary

The Manager, DevOps will be responsible for managing the Access Intelligence Platform (AIP) DevOps team. This role will oversee the team responsible for releasing code to production, maintaining and enhancing our monitoring systems, improving our security posture, delivering reliable environment automation and configuration management, and managing special projects to improve the AIP product. The Manager will define, track, and share metrics on how the team is performing and looking for opportunities to improve. The role reports to the Sr. Director of DevOps and will partner with InfraOps, AppOps, Engineering and Customer support to ensure customer applications maintain high uptime, reliability, functionality, security, and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage DevOps Scrum in bi-weekly sprints; coordinate planning, standups, retrospectives, and manage 12+ annual releases, including off-hours participation.
  • Partner with Product, QA, and Engineering on release scope, security patches, and production escalations.
  • Oversee hiring, performance, promotions, and create individual training and goal plans with regular check-ins.
  • Enhance SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, enforce secure development practices, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC, and other standards.
  • Guide technical delivery and design scalable, future-ready cloud environments.
  • Manage changes to production, support audit readiness, and maintain robust incident and root cause analysis processes.
  • Own and expand the DevOps Portal; implement tools for builds, secrets management, deployment automation, and dashboards.
  • Share monthly accomplishments, manage budgets and renewals, and maintain regular syncs with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Continuously assess emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements to tools, processes, and architecture.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent; experienced in regulated, audited environments and containerizing legacy apps for modern platforms.
  • 8+ years in DevOps/SRE/infrastructure roles using DevOps principles and 2+ years leading engineers (manager or team lead).
  • Experienced in scripting (Python/Bash), programming (Java), and managing Java web apps on Oracle/RHEL, Tomcat, Apache, and MySQL.
  • Deep understanding of servers, networking, OS, databases, performance tuning, monitoring, alerting, load balancing, and security systems.
  • Skilled in Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, GitHub/GitOps, and implementing monitoring with Nagios, Grafana, and PRTG.
  • Experienced in AWS, VMware, Linux; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Solid Agile/Scrum knowledge using Jira; excellent verbal and written communication across all organizational levels.
This position offers a total compensation range of $165,000.00 to $170,550.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
