Chem-Aqua - AreaSalesManager

The Area Sales Manager will manage the day to day operations of their assigned area and focus their time on supporting Sales Reps in their area. Additionally, they will assist with new account sales and start up on new accounts as they are sold as well as providing excellent service on existing accounts. The ASM will have overnight into the training of new reps from the date of hire through 18-24 months tenure. The purpose of the position is to develop the Sales and Technical competency, and full account management skills necessary to grow and operate a successful sales territory. The ASM will report into the District Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:

PeopleManagement/Development



  • Assist in the hiring process and evaluation of candidates for hire, including but not limited to field ride-alongs.
  • Manage2-3repspluspotentialof1-2servicetechs
  • Weeklyphonerecapandsalesstrategyplanningwithassignedreps
  • Lead training and development for the assigned sales team for success on and off the field
  • Monitoringrepsalesactivitiesincludingbutnotlimitedtoservicecompliance,dailysalesactivities,trainingprogress,salesandtechnicalprocesstraining
  • Salesforecastingtargetsforreps
  • Ensureallnewhiresachievetrainingstandardsthatleadtoexpertiseindiscussing productsandservices
  • Take action quickly to address performance deficiencies including maintaining documentation and apprising appropriate other of the status of performance issues.
  • ModelingtheGearsofSelling,onsalescallsinthefield.
  • Technicaltraininginthefieldincludingtesting,FSRreports/4C's,boilerandcooling systems,etc.
  • KnowledgeofChem-Aquaproductsandapplications.
  • Spend3-4daysamonthwitheachsalesrep
  • MonthlyreviewofSalesforcereports
  • Assistinre-trainingestablishedrepsonGearsofSellingwhennecessary


AccountManagement



  • Haveadeepunderstandingofthemarketsincluding,competition,suppliersandcustomerbase
  • Continueservicingexistingaccountsintheterritory
  • Maintainagroupsalesofminimumof$750k
