Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Planning & Procurement Manager. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS: * Manages Planning and Procurement department activities - hiring, discipline, performance mgmt, & salary planning. * Leads cross-functional teams, liaison between programs team, functional areas, and suppliers. * Performs financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. * Anticipates customer requirements & develops supportive actions. * Oversees Manufacturing Master Schedule, coordinating with Program Team for forecasting * Practices cycle time management, establishes budgets, KPIs, & metrics. * Reviews & coordinates purchase requisitions, ensuring efficient processing. Coordinates oversight of supplier negotiations and execution of procurement plan. * Develops new supply sources & recommends cost-saving alternatives. * Understand who their critical suppliers are to understand impact to customer. * Coordinates with cross functional team regarding supply chain efforts, ensuring supplier performance & developing strategies to meet customer expectations KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Workplace Options
Target salary range: USD $123,734.00/Yr. - USD $133,884.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
