The basic function of the Paving Superintendent is to effectively supervise all aspects of the Knife River workforce, subcontractors, and to ensure that all aspects of the project are coordinated and completed in a timely, efficient, effective and profitable manner. Minimum Qualifications: * 8 years of asphalt paving industry or related experience is preferred. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Supervise multiple foremen and subcontractors on one or more paving projects. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Ability to work on weekends, public holidays, and at night. Ability to work for long hours in all weather conditions. Knowledge of road and traffic regulations. Veterans: At Knife River, we are committed to helping our military transition to civilian life.
