 Biorepository Technician Job Responsibilities: 
 
 
 Ensures that all areas of the Biorepository are following all required regulatory and accrediting agencies. Maintains a climate of compliance/quality within the biorepository to assure highest quality of laboratory processing. Offers consultations for new projects and act as subject matter expert for project planning.Designs and executes laboratory experiments, be responsible for data generation, assay optimization/validation. Develops and manages policies, procedures, processes, and protocols for biobanking services that support the research community including tissue handling, quality control (QC) work, and access to biospecimens.Works actively with study teams across all Service Lines to support their needs with biobanking services.Responsible for receiving, unpacking, accessioning, aliquoting and inventorying biospecimens.Establishes and updates various databases for clinical sample tracking.Other duties as assigned
 
 Minimum Qualifications: 
 
 
 Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years)Years of Experience: 2 years of experience in a biorepository or laboratoryCertification Upon Start:
 
   
 Pertinent research certification and human research protections training(Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Program , National Institute of Health) 1 month upon hire.Basic Life Support. New hires within 3 months. Current TMs within 6 months of 9/12/2023
