GOLDMAN SACHS ALTERNATIVES - GSAM invests both the firm's own capital and capital raised from outside investors in corporate equity and debt, real estate equity and debt, asset-based equity and debt, growth equity and infrastructure assets world-wide. GSAM Private Credit is one of the world's largest alternative credit investing platforms with approximately $110bn of AUM and investment professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. GSAM Private Credit is a dynamic platform with significant cross-pollination across strategies - Direct Lending (middle market and large cap performing credit), Hybrid Capital, Asset Finance, Structured Corporate Credit and IG Corporate and Infrastructure Credit.

STRUCTURED CORPORATE CREDIT

Structured Corporate Credit ("SCC") is a growth area within Private Credit, focusing on financings backed by various forms of corporate credit support. SCC provides flexible funding solutions across the capital structure, engaging in a broad range of structured solutions as well as a wide range of asset classes, products, industries and sectors, including digital infrastructure, power, utilities and healthcare.

This is an opportunity to play an important role in the development and growth of our global structured corporate credit platform and to get exposure to a global team and its full spectrum of activities, which are varied and challenging. These encompass transaction origination, underwriting, structuring, risk management and execution. Combined with the small deal team sizes, the broad range of transaction structures and sectors in which we invest provide an extremely wide range of exposure and skill set development.

Responsibilities



  • Participating in structuring, negotiating and documenting investments
  • Engaging in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis
  • Communicating and defending investment theses and structures to internal stakeholders and committees, including relevant Investment Committees
  • Support originating investment opportunities across the product suite of Structured Corporate Credit via early engagement with relevant parties (e.g. borrowers, sponsors and advisors)
  • Actively monitoring existing investments in the portfolio
  • Involvement in internal fund management and preparation of investor communications
  • Contributing to platform expansion and potentially the introduction of new investment strategies


Qualifications



  • 2-3 years of investment banking, private credit or infrastructure experience
  • Strong quantitative, financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for investing with specific interest in credit and structured products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and creative mindset; ability to analyze a variety of industries and businesses and capital structures
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide variety of people


Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$225000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
