Overview
To provide nursing leadership and oversight of the overall patient care process, assuring staff provide the highest service and quality care to patients within the professional nursing care standards. The Nursing Supervisor will facilitate and coordinate patient care services regionally within Medical Imaging, responding supportively to the needs of internal and external customers. Qualifications Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); National Nursing Certification within 3 years - Varies, Education: Associate's Degree: Nursing (Required), Work Experience: Responsibilities In conjunction with the manager, ensures dialysis unit operates in compliance with all ESRD, federal, AAMI, OSHA and Carle policies and procedures Knows and follows policies and procedures under CMS ESRD and state regulations, monitors staff compliance Ensures completion of comprehensive patient assessment and works with the care team to create/implement care plans Develops and monitor quality control measures to assure continuous quality of patient care Promptly accessible, throughout shift, to staff; activity assists staff in problem resolution, developing their problem-solving skills in the process. Assesses utilization and reception of float help. Promptly and effectively contributes to any emergency situation in the unit Offers specific assistance, i.e., machine issues, accessing of patients Helps ensure QAPI and regulatory reports are updated and complete Promptly communicates significant issues/concerns regarding patient care delivery or unit personnel to Nurse Manager and Director. Offers assistance and follows with concerns on the shift. Supports strategies in unit development or system changes. Consistently demonstrates and openly reinforces the values and standards of the department and organization Completes any needed reallocation in a timely manner. Staffing decisions are congruent with unit staffing plans/targets and patient care needs. Staffing variances are identified by fact. Collaborates as appropriate with staff to understand patient care needs. Evaluates affected units for results/impact. Communicates complex staffing decisions and rationale to Nurse Manager and Director. Reports significant information, observations, or issues to responsible Director and/or Vice President. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $39.13per hour - $67.3per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
